EKA · THE EVIDENCE

Case studies

Figures from our archives, from the 2014–2025 brochures, and current cases. All anonymised: outside EKA, client names are never written down.

Producers

The open market, versus the GSE withdrawal scheme

What the plant earned on the open market with EKA, against the zonal price of the GSE dedicated withdrawal scheme, net of balancing charges.

Action to protect the client

An excise duty that was not due

Applied by mistake to an exempt business: we documented the exemption and obtained a reversal of €2,330 plus VAT for five months.

A wrong rate

Excise duty for civil-use gas charged to a hotel with industrial use: a reversal of €6,240 plus VAT for nine months.

An unsigned contract

A door-to-door offer with the prices written in pencil: with the real ones, the client would have spent about €1,200 a year more, for 24 months.

Groups and large plants

When there are many companies

Investment group · photovoltaic · 40 MWp

The buyer who withdraws at the last moment

A few days before expiry, the buyer withdraws and proposes a new contract on very unfavourable terms. Within a few hours we put the plants’ master data in order and gathered offers: more than ten operators came forward.

What changed. A new buyer, outside normal negotiation timescales, and +€185,000 a year in revenue for the producer.

Photovoltaic group · 64 special purpose vehicles · 187 metering points

The group that was 64 companies

Sixty-four companies, sixty-four contracts, sixty-four expiry dates to watch. We handle it as a single client: one comparison between buyers and one contract template for all the companies.

What changed. One expiry date to watch instead of sixty-four, and a single contact person for the whole group.

Producer · 10 plants · about 80 MW

Ten plants, two schemes, one obligation

Two schemes, FER X and advanced agrivoltaics, both with a two-way contract for difference and the obligation to be on the balancing market. The sale is set up on the regulations of the scheme: the client declared the requirements, and we wrote them into the contract with the trader.

What changed. Both schemes are complied with in the contract from day one, balancing included: the requirements are written down, not left to memory.

Real cases, anonymised: the first from the 2025 producer brochure, the others from work in 2026.
